COMING BY TRAIN FROM THE UK AND MAIN AIRPORTS
Fast and frequent train services link all regions of the UK to Swansea, Neath and Port Talbot either direct or with one easy interchange. Direct trains run from London, Bristol, Cardiff and Manchester and there are good connections from the other parts of England at Bristol Parkway or Cardiff; convenient rail/air links from Gatwick, Heathrow, Bristol and Cardiff airports.

COMING BY COACH FROM THE UK AND MAIN AIRPORTS
Frequent coach services to link all regions of the UK to Swansea and Port Talbot either direct or with one easy interchange. National Express runs direct to Swansea and Port Talbot from London, Gatwick and Heathrow Airports, the Midlands and Bristol. Megabus runs direct to Swansea from London, Bristol and Birmingham.

Swansea Coach Station is in the city centre, and adjacent to the bus station with a full range of passenger facilities, information shops and cafés.

COMING TO SWANSEA BAY BY BIKE
NATIONAL CYCLE NETWORK (NCN)
Swansea Bay is well linked from elsewhere in Wales and beyond using the National Cycle Network.
Celtic Trail NCN4 from Chepstow to Swansea is mainly traffic free but with on-road sections around Newport.
High Level Valley Route NCN46/47 from Abergavenny is substantially traffic free
NCN47 from Fishguard Ferryport is largely on-road.
Celtic Trail NCN4 from Pembroke Ferryport is largely on-road with traffic-free access into Swansea.
Lon Las Cymru NCN8 from North & Mid Wales links to NCN 4 at Pontypridd.
BIKES ON TRAINS
Great Western Railway takes bikes on intercity express trains from London, Reading and Bristol and has mandatory reservation. There is limited bike storage on trains and periods when they cannot be conveyed (e.g. between 1630 & 1900 from London Paddington). No charge for carriage is raised.
Transport for Wales takes bikes on its trains, normally two per train with some restrictions in peak periods. Reservation is strongly recommended though on many trains bikes will be taken on a ‘first come, first serve basis’. No charge for carriage is raised.
BIKES ON COACHES
National Express will take bikes on their coaches provided they fold and carried in an appropriate padded bag or hard case Megabus makes no specific mention of bikes but they will take up to 20kg of luggage free which suggests folded bikes would be carried.
COMING BY CAR: PARK & RIDE
You may wish to leave your car outside the City at Swansea’s park & ride sites Fabian Way or Landore; you can take the frequent bus link to the city centre; only £2.50 for up to four people. For only £1.70 extra, travel to any part of the city, Mumbles, Bishopston & Pennard by First Cymru bus.

BEACH FORECAST & TIDE TIMES
Being aware of the tide times while walking on the Wales Coast Path is very important as parts of the path can become inaccessible during very high tides. We recommend that you check the local tide times before setting off to make sure you’re prepared, and if you’re ever unsure about your route, don’t risk it, as the tide can rise quicker than you might expect.
